This is the first post on what I hope to be a weekly blog. Even though this one is going up on Saturday, future blogs will most likely be posted on Sundays.
So this week was, unfortunately, a slow week for the store. But we did manage to get in some signed copies of Patrick Rothfuss's books including the harder to find The Adventures of the Princess and Mr. Whimple: The Dark of Deep Below. They may look like children's books, but most definitely are not! Even the warning sticker on the cover of the book should not be read by children.
Also this week we set up an author signing event for this October, check back with the blog for more details as the date gets closer, or head over to our Facebook page where we shared the event created on the author's page. They came in and dropped off a couple of copies of their book so we could read them (they won't be for sale until the event, sorry!) and after reading it, I can honestly say that it is a different kind of fantasy than I've ever read before. It has a major christian theme throughout with dragons, demons, princesses, and, of course, a hero.
This website is something I've been working on for awhile now and I am finally satisfied with my efforts, so today marks the first day of it being published. I've never built a website before, so if you have any comments or suggestions on how I might make it better please don't hesitate to go over to the comment page and let me have it.
That's all for now, I'll see you here next week, or maybe at the store before then. From both of us at Dragon Castle Books we hope you have a great week and look forward to seeing you at the store.
